We Went To Bed At The Same Time

It was an unexpected social media hiatus. Life needed my attention and so I gave it. Unwillingly...but I obliged. Kicking and screaming, I closed my laptop not knowing that it would take THIS long to see my keyboard again. Ugh!

There went my posting consistency, the new opportunities/opened doors I KNEW were going to launch me into blogging stardom (yeah right), the daily interaction with groups/tribes I belong to and all the traffic I was FINALLY getting to my blog. Double "Ugh!".

But luckily, I have people. That's right. Thriller Mom people who are loyal to the name, the brand, the insanity! YOU kind folks who stick around and give me space when I need it. And when the prodigal blogger returns (that's me), you're always right there!

I appreciate you all so much for that; my virtual friends and fans of all my crAzy!

Thriller Mom---->that's ME again<---- is back and ready to move forward. I'd like to say that I'm returning the same as I left but that's not entirely true. I've changed my mind about some things and some people. Yep. You heard it here first! I have new focus and new direction. In other words, I've got shit to do! I want to branch out and try things I haven't tried before as a writer and internet presence. I'm a small presence, granted, but dammit you'll feel me... right?! Stroke my ego a bit loves! Lmao!

My hiatus was not void of benefits. I rediscovered things about myself. I spent more time with my girls. I didn't have the self-imposed "stress" of coming up with new material, scheduling posts, etc, that can overwhelm any writer/blogger/page admin. My time management can often suck so I was probably more stressed than the average! Of course, I didn't realize it at the time. I'm not complaining. This is just MY microscopic truth!

And GUESS WHAT??! My Mr and I went to bed TOGETHER. Like, AT THE SAME TIME! We snuggled, talked, held one another, and did things that grown ups, couples, are supposed to do!

Why is that news worthy you ask? Because many writers can only think, breathe, and write when everyone else is sleeping. If you're a parent, you know what I mean by that!  Too many late nights in front of the computer can (and will) lead to neglected, frustrated partners, misunderstandings, arguments, and writers who refuse to be stopped. You know how misunderstood we sensitive creatures (writers) already feel!

With all of that being said, I'd like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!!!! It's 2015 and great things are STILL in store for each of us. I'm preparing for an overflow people! I hope you are as well.

Thanks again for your loyalty and for being a special part of each day! If you want to be even more loyal and present, don't forget to click on my Top Mommy Blogger badge. With me being absent for soooo long, I'm sure that thing could use a good strokin'!
