Did Someone Say AWARD?

Is it possible to be too excited about something? I hope not because I am beaming right now! My little blog was nominated for a Liebster Award by the wonderful Yvonne of http://veggiesuccess.com. I am sending her my sincerest "Thanks," a too-tight hug, and a sloppy virtual kiss. Just a big packet of love! Please visit her all over social media and follow her magnificence!

I recently posted my Blogland tour (find it here) and now this award! You should know plenty about my little world when it's all said and done. Lol! I'm thrilled, ecstatic, and full of appreciation for my readers. Things are going well in my self-proclaimed Thrillerdise. As a writer, I want to make sure things stay this way. But enough rambling. Let's get to Yvonne's questions for me.

1. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I needed an outlet. I needed to express the pinned-up emotions that parenting and life were causing me. It was either that or shave my head & buy a one-way ticket to Anywhere

2. What is your biggest goal for your blog?

My biggest goal for Thriller Mom is to become a place where others look forward to visiting. When someone, especially a parent, needs a good laugh or an escape from the insanity of life, I want them to think of me! Of course, I'm being modest but still honest. If you want me to admit that I want a worldwide following, people knocking down my door with AWESOME opportunities, and money flowing to me like ocean waves...well...you've got another thing coming! 'Cause I want all of that times 10! Lol!

3. If you won $1 million, what would you do with it?

OMG! What to do, what to do?! There's wallowing in it, making love to it, showing it undying affection, oh the choices are endless! But the first thing I'd do is hide it from everyone I know. Yep. You read that right. I'm a generous soul but it would take me some time to get used to my new reality before sharing it with the world. And as much as I LOVE shopping, traveling, and dining, I would be responsible with my lump sum of green goodness! Why? Because I don't want to be "broke" again! Duh!

4. Do you speak another language and if not, what language would you learn if you could?

I do not speak any other languages fluently. However, I understand a little more Spanish than I speak. I'd love to learn this language fluently to communicate better with the people around me. If given a chance to learn another language aside from this, it would probably be Chinese or French. I think French is sexy and would give me and my Mr a ton of fun in "La Chambre." If that's not correct, blame Google!

5. What's your favorite vegetable?

I can only choose one? That's impossible for me because I LOVE veggies! I have no favorite.

6. How many cookbooks do you have?

I've never counted them! I've bought some but inherited many from family as well. If my Mr could answer this question, he'd say "too damn many!"

7.  If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Wow. These questions are making me think really hard! Lol! Like, I don't have that many brain cells, HARD. Just like veggies, I love the world. There are sooo many places I find beautiful and wouldn't mind residing. However, thinking in terms of citizenship, individual rights, technological advances, etc, I would stay right here in the good 'ole USA! Where else can I freely express my crAziness and be with my family simultaneously?!

8. What's your favorite book?

Norman Vincent Peale is one of my favorite authors. I love anything by him. Also, Louise Hay, Dennis Kimbro, and Wayne Dyer. You can find me checking out biographies from the library. Right now I'm reading Betty White's. And last but not least, the Bible. The good book. Once again, I can't choose just one! Lol!

9. What's your biggest achievement?

This may sound cliche' but my biggest and greatest achievement is becoming a parent. I'm blessed, no doubt, but I've EARNED this stamp! After waddling around like a penguin and having my body rearranged like a puzzle, I wear my badge with pride! And let me add that at one point in my life, I didn't think I could have kids. But I won't go into all of that right now.

10. What's your favorite tv program?

I just got excited all over again! I can't choose one (you should know that by now) but I can share my two faves with you. Oh boy---------> Scandal and Walking Dead! I don't get to watch much tv but when I do it's one of these shows or something on The Food Network or HGTV. Wait....this is all when Disney hasn't kidnapped my tv screen!

Passing The Baton!

  5. Congratulations on your nomination.

I agree with your $1 000 000 question... I would need to carefully plan because I would not want to squander it!

I'm French - except I speak very little of it. My parents are French-Canadian and chose to use French as a way to talk about private stuff around me as opposed to sharing their language with me. I picked up some from school but I still resent the fact I don't speak more French LOL.

    Thanks for sharing.
    xoxo

    1. Yes! Planning is key for me. I'm excited to see the day we both win our million(s)! As for French, that sucks (to say the least)! Wow...I can't believe they didn't teach you. No fair!
